KNOA is pleased to announce that we will once again be hosting the Basic Narcotics Investigators Course, (BNIC) at the 2021 KNOA Annual Training Conference.

This course is designed to be for those that are just beginning to work in the world of narcotics investigations, and will give the students instruction on how to work a narcotics investigation from the initial phases up to presenting the case to the prosecutor.

The training is held in conjunction with the 29th Annual KNOA Training Conference, March 8th-11th, 2021 at the Hampton Inn & Suites / Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane, KS. Your 2021 KNOA membership dues are included with the price of registration.

Schedule Overview: 

  • Sunday, March 7th: 12pm - 1pm: Regsistration
  • Sunday, March 7: 1pm - 5pm; Transition to Narcs/Beginning the Investigaiton
  • Monday, March 8: 8am-12pm  Informant and Other Legal Issues for Narcs
  • Monday, March 8: 1pm-5pm; Operations Planning / Surveillance Operations
  • Tuesday, March 9: 8am- 10am; Surveillance Practicals
  • Tuesday, March 9: 10am - 12pm; Developing/Debriefing/Pitfalls of Informants
  • Tuesday March 9: 1pm - 4pm; Controlled Purchase Operations
  • Tuesday March 9: 6pm - 8pm; UC Life/Narc Lifestyle/Effects on Family
  • Wednesday, March 10: 8am-12pm; Informant Controlled Buy Practicals
  • Wednesday, March 10: 1pm - 5pm; Surveillance Operation Practical
  • Wednesday March 10:  6pm - 8pm; Night Surveillance Practical
  • Thursday, March 11:  8am-12pm Closing speaker at Conference
