The Kansas Narcotics Officers Association is pleased to announce that we will once again be hosting the Basic Narcotics Investigators Course (BNIC) for 2025 in Hays, KS on September 22nd - 26th, 2025.
The BNIC course is designed to be for those that are just beginning to work in the world of narcotics investigations and will give the students instruction on how to work a narcotics investigation from the initial phases up to presenting the case to the prosecutor.
Law Enforcement and Prosecutors are welcome and encouraged to attend this course.
Registration for the course is $250 and will include membership into KNOA.
Schedule Overview:
Class will begin Monday September 22nd at 8:00 AM and end on Friday at 12:00 PM. There will be some evening instruction and attendees will receive 40 hours of training for this course.

Class size will be limited to 30 attendees. This training is designed for entry level narcotics investigators with a preferred 5 years or less of narcotics investigation experience. All registrations will be reviewed prior to approval to ensure that the student meets the qualifications. Plain clothes attire is recommended, along with unmarked vehicles if possible. Instruction will include classroom, as well as practical surveillance exercises.
